Day 1: Spend the night in Auckland

Auckland is our largest city and home to a vast wealth of different cultures and experiences. Auckland has strong Pacific and Asian influence and is know as the ' City of Sales' with reputedly 1 in 3  households owing a boat.

Day 2:  Auckland - Waitomo Caves - Rotorua

We leave Auckland and travel south through lush Waikato farmland to the small town of Waitomo. This morning explore the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, take a magical underground boat ride and see the magical glowworms. Waitomo Caves are known for it's world famous limestone formations including 'The Cathedral' - an underground cavern complete with concert hall acoustics.

Tuck in to a tasty buffet lunch at Waitomo Caves Restaurant, looking out at the serene native bush setting from the open air canopy around you. Then set off on an adventure into Middle-earth! Just outside the central North Island town of Matamata is a private farm which was transformed into the village of Hobbiton for the award-winning Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movie trilogies, directed by New Zealander Sir Peter Jackson.

Take a guided tour of the Hobbiton Movie Set and see the original Hobbit Holes, Party Tree, the Green Dragon Inn and more. Find out how Hobbiton was built and hear behind-the-scenes stories from filming.

Day 3 Rotorua Sightseeing

This morning experience Te Puia, a place of Maori culture and a thermal wonderland of impressive geysers and boiling mud pools. Explore Rainbow Springs nature park, which showcases native flora and fauna including the New Zealand Kiwi. Then see NZ's agricultural industry in action with a sheep shearing display and dog trials at the Agrodome.

Day 4: Rotorua - Auckland

Day 1: Christchurch - Mt Cook - Queenstown

Cross the Canterbury Plains, over Burkes Pass to the glacial lakes and into the Mount Cook National Park. Day 1: Auckland - Paihia

Cross the Waitemata Harbour and travel north to Paihia in the Bay of Islands then visit Waitangi Treaty Grounds for a guided tour of one of our most significant cultural icons. 

Enjoy an afternoon cruise amongst the many islands of the Bay, look out for Dolphins and the Hole in the Rock on Motukokako Island.

Day 2: Paihia - Cape Reinga- Paihia

Today take a full day tour to the very top of New Zealand.

Stop at Puketi Kauri Forest and get close to giant Kauri trees, zoom along Ninety Mile Beach and cross Te Paki stream in the special off road capable coach! Visit the light house at Cape Reinga and watch the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean collide. Those keen for a thrill and a bit of exercise can climb up a sand dune and boogie board back down to the bottom. For the less energetic there is plenty of sand to relax on whilst you watch.

Day 3: Paihia - Auckland - Rotorua

We recommend you take a ferry to Russell our first capital city once known as the 'hellhole of the pacific' but now known for its million dollar holiday homes. Day 2: Paihia - Cape Reinga- Paihia
